Essential Fatty Acid Supplement for Large Parrots
Tropical Nut Oil by Your Parrot is a premium dietary supplement developed through a selective manufacturing process using a balanced blend of natural plant oils derived from macadamia nuts, Brazil nuts, almonds, peanuts, and coconut.
This carefully composed formula provides a broad spectrum of essential fatty acids, with particular emphasis on Omega-3 fatty acids, which are vital for maintaining nervous system integrity, supporting cell membrane structure, and contributing to cardiovascular health.
The inclusion of coconut oil supplies medium-chain fatty acids (MCFAs) that are easier for birds to digest compared to long-chain saturated fats. It also contains lauric acid, known for its antimicrobial properties.
Together, these oils support physiological processes, overall health, and resilience in large parrots.
Suitable SpeciesAll macaw species, African Grey, Senegal (Mohrenkopfpapagei), Meyer’s Parrot, Cape Parrot, Eclectus, Black Cockatoos (including Palm and Raven), White Cockatoos, Moluccan Cockatoos, Golden Conure, Red-bellied Parrot, Green-cheeked Parrot, Rusty Parrot, and Fan Parrot.
Feeding Instructions
- 10–20 ml per 1 kg of Vital Pellets or soft food
- Mix thoroughly until fully absorbed
- Feed 2–3 times per week
- Serve the entire portion without leftovers
- Vital Pellets absorb and retain the fatty acids, vitamins, and minerals from the oil
Use in Hand-Feeding Formula
Suitable only for the following species:
Hyacinth Macaw, Military Macaw, Palm Cockatoo, Red-bellied Macaw, Raven Cockatoo, Green-winged Macaw
Not recommended for hand-feeding other species.
